It started as a 1970 Chrysler Newport with rebuilt 440 and ended up a pile of junk. It was our first derby but we managed to get a third place. If you ever have a big old car and about of month of time to do nothing but work on a car that is going to be smashed up in 15 minutes than this is your event.

Cleaning the engine up is one of the rules, you can see the chain on each side of the engine tying it to the frame. The cable shifter is out of a 1970 Dodge Pickup.
